She's Home! Our Scotty was delivered by the previous owner on August 16, 2010. We did not have the proper hookup for the lights so he insisted on us not towing her, what a nice guy.
How did we find her? Interesting story.
We had just sold our pop-up to a friend in hopes that by next year we would have a Scotty, as I have always loved their vintage flare. Well, within 10 minutes of our pop-up leaving or driveway my friend Chrissy called. Her and Andy were driving through Coaldale and she was just telling him we were selling the pop-up, big news being 1 of 2 PUPP members! As she was telling him about the kind of camper we were looking for they were passing one for sale in a gas station parking lot.
We left later that evening to take a ride to see her. There she was, exactly what I wanted. We got closer, the for sale sign said $600. I looked at my husband and said "you know I am going to buy this right?" He said "you know I'm not going to stop you, right?". I got the number, went inside to see if it was an employees, he said it had just been parked there earlier that day. I called the owners, 9:45pm, sorry guys, and told them I wanted it. We went to see it early the next morning. We really didn't care what it looked like inside, it was ours. And to us, it was so meant to be...
My what a project we have taken on. Luckily we moved quickly on it, so quick that I have no photos of the in tact "before" interior. First we checked the fridge, no go, so we tore it out. Then the stove, works great, so we tore it out. No need for a sink, we never used one before. Tear it out?... of course! Next the counter top. We figured we had better compose ourselves and took the next week strategically planning what was staying and going.
